# Remove a party from a milestone

> Removes a party's assignment (participation and split) from this milestone. The party's entity-level identity is kept — use `DELETE /virtual-accounts/escrow/{escrow_id}/parties/{party_id}` to remove it from the project entirely. Requires `org-admin` OrgMember role and the `escrow` feature.
